Our Mission: "Party with a Purpose" Using the attitude that Jimmy Buffett sings and writes about, our mission is to exist as a service club. Oue objective is to bring together those people who not only enjoy his music, but will be representative of his positive messages about giving back to the community and restoring and protecting the environment. We will use volunteer hours as well as hosting fund raising projects to accomplish much, while having fun at the same time. Our club is open to anyone with a Caribbean soul who is willing to work a few hours during the year. All club members in good standing will be able to contribute their ideas for charity projects as well as social functions. Each member will have a voice in what goes on. We will hold monthly meeting to get a little Buffett fix that we all need. Some of us need it daily. We request input from our members on where to meet, things to do, places go and people to see. What do you do at the concerts and what concerts have you been to? We want to know your story from ordinary person to parrothead. Some of our service club charities, volunteer hours and fund raising efforts include: Bristol Motor Speedway Children's Charities, Alzheimer's, Boone Lake Association, the Holston Lake Clean Up, Big Tom's Ride to Survive, Buffett All Day to benefit local animal shelters, an assisted living center Luau, and the American Cancer Society. Other charities may be added to the annual calendar as time allows.

HISTORY LESSON, HISTORY LESSON... We formed a club in 2001 under the direction of myself, Mike Blalock and Margaret Sells. We are a sanctioned member of Parrot Heads in Paradise (the national organization). Jimmy asked his parrot head clubs to give back to their own communities. Click on "Friends in Need" to see the charities we support. In the past we have hosted a
PH Mardi Gras to benefit the BMS Children's Charities, Luas at the Pine Oaks Assisted Living Center,
picked up trash 2 days per year around area lakes as a team on clean up
days, donate Toys for Tots at Christmas, played PH Survivor for charity on an
Island with the Smoky Mountain PH Club members, have
meetings/cookouts at members homes sometimes, host a Gumbo party, take
little road trips to visit other area PH Clubs, attend a concert as a club
and several of us attend the national
convention in Key West held in November. We have even built Christmas floats for
the Johnson City Christmas parades several years.
